Isme Bennie
Ismé Bennie is a well–known Canadian television executive and media consultant. Her current activities include advising the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation on their telecast of 2011 Scotia Bank Giller Prize. Born in South Africa, she has lived in London, Los Angeles and New York, but Toronto has been her home for many years. A librarian by profession, she translated her organizational and research skills into positions of increasing seniority in the broadcasting industry, most recently as Vice President and General Manager of CTV specialty channels Bravo!, Space, Comedy, and Book Television. She is the recipient of several Canadian broadcast industry awards. Ismé is an avid reader, and is hoping to bring readers to her own work: articles, and creative non–fiction.
